Theme: Financing for Drought Resilience – A Call to Action for Africa

In July 2025, I represented Ghana at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification side event during the FFD4 Conference in Seville, Spain.

The session explored how Africa can unlock $100 billion in climate finance for land restoration, climate-smart agriculture, and drought resilience. Key discussions focused on AI-powered early warning systems, homegrown innovation, and integrating resilience into national budgets.

I engaged with global leaders and explored strategies for Ghana to:

  • Access climate funds for sustainable infrastructure

  • Support AI-driven drought prediction tools

  • Build cross-sector partnerships to amplify African climate solutions globally

Notable Speakers: Michael van den Berg, Andrea Meza Murillo, Dr. Osama Faqeeha

💬 Impact: Strengthened my capacity to align climate innovation, finance, and policy — driving Africa’s role as a leader in resilience and sustainability.
